Miele G 7000 Dishwasher: Common Issues & Error Codes

A factory-authorized technician's guide to the most common problems and error codes on Miele G 7000 series dishwashers.

The Miele G 7000 series (G 7366, G 7466, G 7566, G 7966) represents Miele's flagship dishwasher lineup, featuring AutoDos automatic detergent dispensing, WiFi connectivity, and the 3D MultiFlex tray. As factory-authorized Miele service technicians, we see these units daily across the Bay Area and Greater Sacramento. Here are the most common issues we encounter.

Error Code F11 — Drain Timeout

F11 is the most common code we see on G 7000 series dishwashers. It indicates the drain pump has run longer than expected without emptying the tub. Common causes:

  • Clogged drain filter or sump area
  • Kinked or blocked drain hose
  • Faulty drain pump (part no. 10.66.02.54)
  • Check valve stuck closed

Error Code F12 — Water Inlet Fault

F12 indicates the water inlet valve has been open for too long without reaching the target water level. On G 7000 models, this often points to:

  • Low water pressure (minimum 15 PSI required)
  • Clogged inlet filter at the aqua stop hose
  • Stuck inlet valve
  • Pressure switch failure

Error Code F14 — Water Heater Fault

The G 7000 uses a flow-through heater rather than a traditional heating element. F14 means the water isn't reaching target temperature within the allotted time. This can be caused by:

  • Scale buildup in the heat exchanger (common in hard water areas like Sacramento)
  • NTC temperature sensor drift
  • Control board relay failure

AutoDos Issues

The AutoDos cartridge system is a known weak point. We frequently see:

  • Cartridge not recognized (F78, F79)
  • Dispensing mechanism jammed
  • Software update required (available through Miele@Home app)

When to Call a Factory-Authorized Technician

While some F11 and F12 issues can be resolved with basic cleaning, any error involving the heating system (F14, F15, F16), circulation pump (F0, F50-F59), or control board requires factory-authorized service. DIY repairs on Miele dishwashers often void the warranty and can cause further damage.
