The drain pump filter clears a large share of W1 complaints without any part. Beyond that the pump, pressure sensor, and door interlock account for most calls. Miele drum bearings are individually serviceable, which is why repair usually makes sense on these machines where it would not on others.
Filter and spray arm scale first, then wash pump pressure and heating. G 7000 units with a base leak sensor will lock out rather than flood — that is the safety system working, and the actual leak still needs finding.
H 6000 and H 7000 series use a temperature probe that drifts with age and is straightforward to replace. Uneven cooking more often traces to the convection fan, door seal, or a unit never calibrated after install. Steam and speed ovens add their own water-path failures.
Dual-evaporator columns fail on the defrost circuit and the evaporator fans far more often than on the sealed system. Ice on the back wall, one compartment warm, or a cabinet running constantly each point at a different part of that chain.
Scale and brew unit maintenance account for most coffee calls. These machines run at pressure through narrow passages, and water in most of our service area is hard enough that a skipped descaling schedule turns into a component replacement.

The economics on these appliances differ from the rest of the market. A fifteen-year-old W1 with a bearing fault is worth repairing because the bearing is a serviceable part and the machine has years left; the same fault on a mass-market front-loader usually means the tub assembly and a new machine. We apply that arithmetic honestly in both directions.
