F codes appear on electric wall ovens, dual-fuel ranges and the oven cavity of gas ranges. Gas surface burners report no code.
| Code | What the control is reporting |
|---|---|
| F1 | Door latch system fault, or control communication failure |
| F2 | Over-temperature condition detected in the oven cavity |
| F3 | Oven temperature sensor (RTD) circuit reads open |
| F4 | Oven temperature sensor (RTD) circuit reads shorted |
A fault code identifies what the control detected, not which part failed. A sensor error can be the sensor, the harness, the connector, or the board reading it.
