Bosch Repair

Out-of-warranty Bosch service across the Bay Area and Greater Sacramento. Dishwashers, wall ovens, cooktops, refrigeration and laundry, with OEM parts and manufacturer service procedures.

What We Diagnose

Bosch builds quiet, tightly engineered appliances, and the failures reflect that — sensors, pumps and controls rather than heavy mechanical components.

Dishwasher not draining or standing water

The filter and sump come first and resolve a large share of calls without a part. After that: drain pump impeller, check valve, or a drain hose without a proper high loop. Bosch units are sensitive to installation on this point specifically.

Dishwasher running but dishes still dirty

Spray arm jets scaled shut, wash pump pressure down, or the unit not reaching temperature. Hard water across Sacramento County and the East Bay accelerates all three, and it shows up on these machines sooner than on units with more aggressive wash cycles.

E15 or water in the base pan

The leak sensor tripped and the machine locked out rather than flooding. That is the safety system working correctly. Draining the base and resetting clears the code, but the actual leak still needs finding or it returns within days.

Oven not heating or temperature off

Element and relay on electric models, sensor drift on any of them. Bosch wall ovens allow a calibration offset from the panel, which resolves a modest consistent error without a repair.

Refrigerator not cooling or icing

Evaporator fan and defrost circuit before the sealed system. French-door and counter-depth models ice at the rear panel when the defrost heater or terminator fails, which reads as a cooling fault.

Laundry: drain, spin or door lock

Drain pump filter first — coins and underwire lodge in the impeller. A machine that will not unlock after a cycle usually still reads water in the tub, which points back at the drain rather than at the lock.

Brands We Service

Equipment we service

Out-of-warranty repair with OEM parts across the range.

  • Bosch Dishwashers — 300, 500, 800 Series and Benchmark
  • Bosch Wall Ovens — Benchmark, 800 and 500 Series
  • Bosch Cooktops — Gas, electric and induction
  • Bosch Refrigeration — French door, counter-depth and built-in
  • Bosch Laundry — Compact and stacked washers and dryers
Installation causes more Bosch dishwasher calls than components do. Drain hose routing, high loop, and the air gap at the sink account for a large share of drainage complaints, and no replacement part fixes a hose that sags. We correct the install where that is the cause and say so plainly.

How the Repair Works

Diagnosis runs the machine rather than reading codes alone. On dishwashers that means fill volume and timing, wash temperature at the element, pump pressure at the arms, and drain behaviour through a full cycle — four measurements that separate the three subsystems where faults actually live.

We service Bosch out of warranty only. Factory authorization for this brand sits with another network, which governs warranty claim handling and nothing else: OEM parts and manufacturer procedures apply to the repair either way.

Water hardness is the underlying cause behind a surprising share of Bosch complaints in this region. Where we find scale on the element and spray arms we explain what maintenance prevents it rather than replacing parts that will fail the same way in two years.

Common Questions

What does E15 mean on my Bosch dishwasher?

The base leak sensor detected water and shut the machine down to prevent a flood. Draining the base pan clears the code, but the leak that filled it has not gone anywhere — a door seal, sump gasket, or spray arm bearing is usually responsible.

Why out-of-warranty only for Bosch?

Factory authorization for Bosch sits with a different service network. It determines who processes warranty claims, not repair capability.

Is a Bosch dishwasher worth repairing?

On 800 Series and Benchmark units generally yes — a pump, valve or control is a few hundred dollars against $1,200 to $2,500 for replacement. On entry-level machines past eight years the arithmetic often goes the other way and we will tell you.

My Bosch dishwasher smells. Is that a fault?

Almost always the filter and sump rather than a defect. Food residue collects under the coarse filter and goes anaerobic. Pulling and rinsing it monthly resolves it in most cases.

Do you service Bosch compact laundry?

Yes, including stacked installations. Compact units are more sensitive to inlet pressure and levelling than full-size machines, and both are common findings.
