Most Viking gas ranges, rangetops and cooktops have no diagnostic display — mechanical valves, thermocouples and spark ignition report nothing. Built-in refrigeration and electric wall ovens do produce codes; if yours shows one, the fault code reference lists what each platform reports.
Note the model number from the rating plate and the exact behaviour — when it started, whether it is constant or intermittent, and any code on the display. That determines which parts are carried to the visit.
